Cryptography Workshop

Hello CybersecurityUW,

We hope everyone is done with midterms and is ready for a really interesting meeting.

On Thursday, March 14th from 5:30 - 7:00 in CS1240 we will be hosting a Cryptography event. Wikipedia says cryptography “is the practice and study of techniques for secure communication in the presence of adversarial behavior.” The club will present a short slideshow about cryptography then will have the attendees solve different ciphers of ranging difficulties.

Please note that for this event we will have write ups for each individual challenge so that anyone, no matter your cryptography experience, can learn and solve these challenges!

Best, Cybersecurity UW Leadership Team

Post Meeting Notes:

Thanks to everyone that came! We hope you enjoyed completing the challenges in the new format. Here is the write up for all the challenges that we did, so you can try them on your own.
