Introduction to Linux & Wargames

Hello CybersecurityUW,
Our next meeting will be an Introduction to Linux through Over the Wire wargames! ‘Over the Wire’ is a community that shares fun games to help you learn and practice security concepts. During our meeting, we’ll specifically be looking into the Bandit section which goes over Unix/Linux basics. We’ll have an introduction to Linux concepts and commands and walkthroughs of the first couple games to help you get started, so beginners are welcome!! We’ll also have time for you to explore games on your own so all/any experience are able to participate.
And please bring your computers to participate!!!
We will be meeting on Wednesday October 15th 6-7pm at Morgridge Hall Jeffrey Naughton Classroom (2nd Floor).

Thanks to everyone that came! Here is a link to the cheat sheet that was used (thanks David!) This is pretty useful if you are just starting to learn linux, and want to have something to reference as you get around.
